Puck-Stand

kickstand foot on the Caponord is very small
a real hazard on gravel, dirt and grass

couldn't find anything ready made for the bike

the leg is also really short
bike on side stand has a severe lean to the left
was loaded heavy a few weeks ago and had parked sideways to an incline

getting back on the bike that is pretty top heavy to begin with
with the added weight and increased lean I could not get it upright
luckily there was a dude nearby that helped me shove the bike upright to get moving

so I designed and built a Puck-Stand to solve both problems
couple of hours labour and around $70 total including the fab/welding of the steel disk

I had the same problem with the old R1200GS, the sidestand was too short. Unlike the Caponord, there's a plethora of aftermarket sidestand extenders/enlargers for the GSes (no slam intended).

A couple of things you could have tried when you were stuck (pre-puck), is to right the bike while standing on the right-hand side, mount the bike with your right foot still on the ground and use your left foot to kick the kickstand up.

Or you could do a running start while off the bike like this:
