I’m planning a future basement bathroom install and currently reviewing the code and other details.

How many fixtures am I allowed to tie into a 1.5” vent?
I’ve read about using the waste line as a vent, any input is appreciated.

I’ll have more questions no doubt but this is my starting point.

I am not 100% sure but I think a toilet requires a 2" vent

I believe you are correct. I’m planning to tie the toilet and drains directly to the main stack which is 4” cast iron. There is an existing 1.5” vent that I’m hoping I can tap into for the new vents without problems or breaching code.
