Play video directly in a post?

I know for youtube you can link the video and it'll play right on the post/page, is there any way to do it with a link to a video file?

i.e. How to get this to play on the web page just like the youtube player does:

There's an "insert video" button next to the quote button when you're posting. I don't know what formats it is compatible with though. I suspect it's mainly meant for youtube and maybe some other popular online video sites.

It's possible, but changes need to be done on the vBulletin server side by an admin. Nothing you can do as a user.
