Options for a day ride New York/PA

I am looking to go on a day trip with my wife, not 2 up, but two bikes on Friday
Two destinations/routes I have in mind are:

Letchworth Park in New York (mount Morris and return North along the south shore of lake ontario or the top end of The Allegany Park NY and into PA

I mapped both routes and they would be ~ 400-600 kms round trip, but we can adjust as we go along.
We live ~ 1/2hr from the Niagara border so anything past the border is an easy option

I know neither is exactly a big ride, but what is the better bang for the buck. Looking for some scenic areas to ride, possibly a destination within 200 kms of the border. Nothing too terribly technical for my wife.

Aren't there nice roads / routes in and around the Finger Lakes region (Watkins Glenn, etc.)? You may want to also check advrider.com forum - it's literally an encyclopedia of resources for bikes, routes, trips, vendors, etc.
