And for something interesting for those into serious long distance touring the hard way from the 'You're never too old to give it a red hot go' file, a very dear 68 yr old friend of mine is currently riding from Kathmandu in Nepal to Belgium on "Effie", his 102 year old 500 cc four cylinder shaft drive ~5hp FN motorcycle he restored, having set off in early Feb 2012...

Wow. How is his trip going? Let me tell you, I've been to Kathmandu, and I didn't even feel safe walking there. LOL. Pedestrians, motorcycles, cars, cows, rickshaws all sharing the same road...two way traffic on a road that is hardly larger than a single lane out here.
