Norton back from the dead ?

seems like harley backing out has opened the door for more brands to jump on board

TVS bought the brand. The interim CEO was incharge of Harley UK division previously I believe.

this will be great, hopefully bring down prices

not really interested in the RR superbike, im assuming because its boutique hand build bikes the prices will be through the roof?

The atlas on the other hand looks interesting

hipsters making british bikes great again

#Edit
Another rich indian guy trying to revive an old british tradition

Who says nostalgia doesn't sell? The people who originally rode Nortons and BSAs are on their last legs and won't be buying bikes soon. Only the younger generation with a taste for the good old days will be buying. Hopefully, they won't find out that the good old days weren't that good.

Nostalgia ain't what it used to be...

Any rendition of the good old days will likely take triumphs approach, modern components and performance with old styling

Too true... that's what HD is pretty much 100% based on. Build bikes that look like they're from the 50's-60's and don't stray too far off that path.
It's worked for such a long time - I will give them credit there, but as many other threads have noted, their customer base is slowly, and literally, dying off. No, I don't mean to get into another HD thread - just saying that they cashed in on nostalgia for many years, which at the time was a solid business model. Well done by the CEO's from back in the day.

Also... If John McGuinness was concerned about the bike... they've got a LONG way to go before it's proper.

I think the TVS management seem to be relatively stand-up guys and are trying to put right some of the issues that that crook Garner left behind. They said they will complete orders and rebuild bikes that were stripped after they were returned for warranty work. They don't have to do this, although I guess time will tell.

I can't believe Garner is not in jail.

TVS started off as a business with a family owned majority and the head honcho at that time owned and rode a Hayabusa. They are serious about quality motorcycles and way back when I visited their factory, it was spotless with methodical assembly lines.
Am sure that the tradition continues.

(I have no shares or commercial interest in TVS)

Anyone else read the thread title and expect a complaint about someones norton antivirus reinstalling itself after deleting it, a la early 2000s.
