Ninja 250R - Gas Tank Fuel/ Filter

Does anyone know if a stock bike that is carbed comes with some sort fuel filter screen or filter of some type that is built in the tank or the fuel lines prior to reaching the carbs. I know that my bike (2009 Ninja 250R) does not have a stock inline fuel filter. But I am assuming there must be some sort of screen type filter somewhere either in the tank or prior to the carbs. The reason I am asking is that I noticed a small particle in fuel in the tank that I am not able to get at. It's very small in size, but I know the jets prior to the carb on this bike are very narrow and I'm not sure if this may eventually cause an issue. I am assuming that the manufacturer must of considered the potential for small debris getting into the fuel and therfore design a solution. For example my carbed lawnmower has a fuel filter screen at the bottom of the fuel tank that is permanent and it stops most particals from reaching the carbs.

I know that I can put an aftermarket fuel filter on the bike , but I am more interested if there is anything that will prevent a potential issue right now.

thanks in advance

There is a screen on the inlet of the fuel tap valve (the one that you switch to "reserve", etc).

That's what I thought. But the 2008 and up Ninja 250R does not have swtich for reserve. We now have a fuel gauge on our bikes. I think I read somewhere that there is a inline fuel filter on the fuel line just prior to the carbs. But I cant find any info on this. I assume all bike bikes have a similiar fuel type valve at the petcock or bottom of the tank where a screen would be?

There is a petcock, you can switch between On and Prime. The fuel filter MIGHT be in there, or near there, not sure.I would just start looking through the service manual, or feeling along the lines to the carb. If it's there, you'll find it.
