Assuming weather forcast is half decent, I'm planning to leave on Tuesday early morning to catch the ferry from Tobermory at 11:20am. Looks like it's me solo. I've done a lot of reading, but there's so much to consider. . .any answers to the following coloured questions would be appreciated.
After Manitoulin, I'm trying to figure out where to stay -- don't know if I'd be able to make it to the Sault. it looks like I'd have been moving for about 7 hours at least by the time I leave the Island.
After the first night, suggestions on the following would help me plan this thing:
Suggested towns to stop in for the nights?
Suggested hotels (no roaches) and restaurants?
Places where I should deviate from hwy 17 a bit to see something I may not know exists?
Any roads that would suck (gravel is the devil)?
After 220kms or so, I have to switch to the reserve tank. Will gas be an issue anywhere?
Suggestions on a return route?
