New bike + safety

Just bought a new bike(0 kms)

Dealer did pdi/inspection etc, but since i haven't started the insurance policy for the new bike yet, I had dealer just deliver the bike

The dealer didn't give a safety, saying its going to be Fit-unplated.
Looked over the papers and it says Fit. When I go to get plates(or transfer old plates to new bike) with the insurance policy, will I need to get a safety or will they accept the Fit?

If it's in your name as FIT, then it won't need a safety when you go to plate it, agreed.
