Neat little bike for sale in my area

One of these for sale in Paris near me too. nice little bike was in pretty good shape for its age. I wanted to pick it up for my next rebuild..but wife would not let me.

They're great if you want to and can afford to run a museum. I see a lot of bikes that give me the urge but on deeper thought I don't want to own them, just take them for a ride around the block.

If you want to ride buy a new bike. There's a reason they don't make them like they used to.

Great looking bike, and great condition it appears! These and similar 2 strokes are a easy fix and parts are not hard to come by. I would look seriously at it if I was on the west coast. As for the comment about the one in Paris, great weekend to look for parts etc at the CVMG national rally and swap meet. Friday noon through Sunday for the unwashed.... Heading up Friday to look for some odds and ends for my rebuilds and restos and just plain look at the vintage bikes and the hoards in the parking lot usually.

These bikes are about the maintenance and restoration hobby, and older people being nostalgic about bikes they couldn't get when they were kids.
But, they are not for everyday use, and owning one means a lot of breakdowns.

I owned an RD350LC, I really don't get this renewed interest in two -strokes, they were the cheapest way to make bikes and they often had problems as new bikes.
suspension, brakes, frames are all crap compared to a newer bike.

The worst is old English bikes -there is a very good reason why they all went broke when Honda released the CB series.

Your right about being a bike that was around when I was a kid, I did own the 100cc Yamaha version of that year, but a friend had that model that was trying to sell it to me for
125 dollars, as a kid that was a lot of money, I tried for 100 but he did not budge.. I have a Sportster at the moment and ride it every chance get except if rains, not experienced with riding in the rain, though comon sense is extreme caution in the rain. I hear of riders flying through the rain with ease but that would get me a one ticket out of Earth city.
