Moto GP Grandstand Tickets vs VIP GP Village

I'm thinking of going to either Laguna or Indie GP, depending which I can get the time off for. Anyone ever experience the Gold/Silver Village tickets? What's it like compared to reserved seating? Options are:

A: Reserved seating Sun + General Ad Fri/Sat
B: VIP Sun + Gen Ad Fri/Sat
C: VIP Sat/Sun + Gen Ad Fri/Sat

More concerned about Value : Entertainment than overall cost. But would like to hear from someone who's actually seen the VIP suites for themselves.

I was at the San Marino MotoGP at Misano in 2011, at the VIP village. Maybe things have changed since then, but I was a touch disappointed with the experience. Food and drinks were included but the only "fan" perks were a guided (escorted) walk through the paddock and one through the area where the trailers were parked. Both were interesting but also restricted. I thought it would be easier to walk around and be "backstage", but I also understand why they did it that way.

From a viewing perspective, we had a section of the grandstand dedicated to VIP which was not as great as some other spots for general admission.

One cool thing was the lap around the warning track while moto2 qualifying was going on. It's crazy to see how fast they are going that close up.

I have some pics of the experience I can share with you. Let me know if you have any questions. Ohyeah... italy in the dead of summer - Air conditioning was a treat.

Ducati Island at Indy is a great place to watch the race. You get to see turns 1,2, and 3. plus its at the exit of the pits.

I had VIP at Indy in 2008. It was alright, but not all that impressed. In 2011 I went with general admission it was great. There are a lot of excellent spectator spots at that track! We sat on the exit of T4. Could see turns 1-5. Indy also has a large screen directly across the track from where we sat and we could see the live broadcast on other parts of the track. Don't forget ear plugs!
