so my mom's bike was knocked over today while it was parked at work, she is a secretary at a grade 6-8 public school in brampton. the bike fell over on the left- kickstand side, there was a car in the left spot, and on the right was reserved parking for someone who was not in today. we see the licence plate is bent on the right side, found a new scuff on the tank, clutch is dangling, front left blinker bent in, crash bar is bent. we cant imagine how this happened unless someone drove into it then peeled out. bike is a 1984 honda cm450. don't really have anything to say other than any chance anyone saw something? it is greenbriar public school

Crappy that happened but I doubt many riders on this forum cruise the public school parking lots. Better off asking this on a pedophile forum.

what are the odd the stand wasn't down quite right an the bike "rolled" and flopped? the bike would have had to be smacked pretty hard and likely dragged to fall over to the left

Does the school has video surveillance with a record of the incident?

dang.. sounds like someone "bumped and ran". No doubt in the school too... surprised no kids saw anything ??.
Years ago in NZ something happened to my property near 3 schools. I wrote each school a letter informing them of what had happened and asked they read the letter in the school assembly, and if anyone knew anything to please pass it on as the police were informed about it.
Low and behold, one kid at one of the schools saw what happened came forward to the school principle and the case was soon solved with his information :)
Might be worth a shot, unless in Ontario, somehow you are not allowed to ask for help??

Either somebody tried to swipe into the reserved parking spot and misjudged how far the bike is, or somebody on the opposite side backed into it. It's the only explanation for the right side of the license plate being bent but the bike falling on the left side (unless your bike for some reason has a kickstand on the right side).

At least your bike didn't fall over far enough to scratch the car on the left...that would be a cluster****

are you sure it was knocked over? if it fell over the side where the stand is, it could've tipped over because of crappy cheap asphault. The weather is heating up now so we have to remember to put something under the kickstand.

He said there was an extra scuff on the tank and licence plate bent on the right.

Lots of people have no qualms of hit and running

What?! Oh it hurts, LMAO! Sorry to hear about your moms bike, that really sucks. Karma will sort that out, hopefully your mom gets something awesome soon :)

we know as of lunch time the bike was still up, so unless the stand gave out within like an hour later otherwise i say the stand held up for the first 4 hours of the day so i think this explanation is out

this seems to be the only explanation, drop the kids off late, run into a bike and teach the kids to hit and run, the circle of life

I'll bet it was somewhere between 1 & 4 guys, in several vehicles, at least one of which had a flashing green light, who rant all over their co-workers, and just got tuned up by HR, and were out looking to knock some bikes over. Oh, wait...wrong thread...sorry.

Op call the cops, file an accident report, notify insurance or else you are a pussy.

You just don't get the fact that in doing nothing whatsoever is what prompted your rough treatment and what will cause your nemesis to continue treating you in whatever fashion they please.
