Does anyone know how many total number of errors on the yellow sheet out of about 100 different things that they mark you on before you fail the test. In other words whats the maximum numbers of errors allowed to pass the test.

i belieave 24 is a pass. 25 a fail

1/ dont quote me on it not trained as an m2exit instructor and thus am not liable for any if any advice I give regarding the m2Exit test. this is advice based on loose industry experience and not training of any kind. please note this.

ill give you a tip or two

move your head aka bobblehead. there is going to be a car behind you with an mto instructor marking you. he/she does not neccesarrily hold a motorcycle license so be careful

any direction change requires a mirror check, signal, and shoulder check

move your head. wait. not head. move your helmet. a person 20+ft behind you is making sure you are looking around. exxagerate the head movement. think bobblehead. 3 seconds mean move your head. that often.

go the speed limit. this is mto they agree and support the designated.speed limit.

make sure within 10-20 seconds after turns etc that you are in the cruising lane aka farthest right lane

if you have to merge aka highway do it and then stay speed limit roughly.

watch blocking position. be there at all times. if your unsure read the mto textbook or please take a m2exit course. what i am saying is a very loose paraphrase...

when slowing down watch for communication. aka drivers around you expect you to put on brake lightz while slowing down. not just engine breaking actual lights. if you are at a stop or red make sure you have that light on.

in short this is a very. and i mean very loose and brief primer for the m2exit road test.

DISCLAIMER

the m2EXIT road test is far more difficult than explained above. the advice I have given is meant to be a ROUGH warning that the test requires skill and training. recommeneded is a registered m2exit safety course approved by mto. they will train you properly.

i have 1/ only personal experience to base this on and am
2/ am not liable in anyway for the advice i have given. this is a guideline and in no affiliated with mto or any other

I doubt its based on the numbers, im pretty sure its based on the type and severity of errors. This is not a written test where each question is worth the same amount of points.

e.g. Major error will mean instant fail (e.g. fall off bike while stopped, hit a pedestrian).

those are disqualification but i m sure that the minor errors also count

Yes, of course. But im assuming some minors that are worst than some other minors, but we'll never know.

My suggestion to you is: Just do the test, have some confidence. Who cares about the checklist, just make sure you do a lot of head movement.

Just did my test on Wed, he had 9 errors total mostly for not having placed my head on a swivel. Been driving for 30 years, rode for 20 years let licence lap and had to start back at M1..lol I ride approx 5,000 Km per MONTH on my bike for commuting etc. NEVER had an accident, dropped a bike a couple of times in 22 years so I wasn't worried. Didn't get a single infraction for anything else other than head movement. He counted not spinning on my "through intersection", which book says is a look left look right look left as 3 errors at one intersection.

Also stay in your blocking position, the examiner even reminds you of that BEFORE you start the test. Wed was one of the windy days and seeing I ride a BIG cruiser I asked about putting both feet down (book says only LEFT foot goes down and right foot remains on the brake), He said I could care less if you put both feet and both hands down..lol

24 is a pass -25 is a fail. 180 markable points. Everything happens in 2's except for the emergncy stop -you do that once. So -2 residentials, 2 industrials, 2 markable lefts, 2 markable rights, 2 stop light, 2 through intersections ...etc etc...

You drop the bike. fail. you break the law. fail.

The speeding thing - meh. It's much worse if you go too slow and impede traffic -thats a point, or several points off. Take the course. I recently saw a 34 test from the MTO -thats score is so bad that they stopped the test. In all fairness, the guy was a bad rider.

Another thing is no shifting gears while in intersection. Watch which tire tracks you are in during turning in intersections. Aka right track to right track etc. actually going to go practice at aurora for fiancée upcoming test.

Also, if you have a solid color helmet, I was told to make a cross on the back of your helmet with tape so that they can see you moving your head. I don't know if it helped, but I didn't lose any points for not moving my head.

Just lost points for slight slowing down when changing lanes and I didn't get over to the right lane ASAP when the lane I was travelling in split to 2 lanes (I did get over about 200 meters further down)
