M2 Exit Test Tips

Fairly old post.

i just did the metro east location a few months ago.

i HATE when i'm being watched for doing something i normally do anyway but this was a lot easier than i had anticipated.

just put your head on a swivel and make sure you're doing full shoulder checks.

depending on the time and day you're going, the traffic is pretty ****. you'll be going on the DVP for the highway portion but theres practically zero chance you're actually gonna travel at highway speed. just remember to do very obvious shoulder checks when changing lanes etc.

Has anyone taken the M2 exit test on a Yamaha V-Star 250?
There should be no issues. It makes your life a little harder due to all the shifting required but meh. Read the checklist and have fun. Bike choice only makes a big difference if you show up on a bike with three wheels (eg. side car or spyder) or a bike <50 cc.

The examiner will expect you to merge SAFELY into highway traffic. You may need to wring the bikes neck or go much slower depending on conditions. Check with them about their expectations day of.
