knox cross lite long knee guards

I ordered a pair of these.
I found them very comfortable. However the pads are not that hard at all.
And they don't cover all the way down the shin.
They are very easy to put on.

Thanks for your impressions.

I have the Icon Stryker Armour ones and they too do not go all the way down the shin.

However, I have a theory why they make them this way. While there is a gap between the bottom of my knee guards and my cruiser style boots I suspect they would reach right to the top of a boot like these SIDI Adventure:

I think if they made these knee guards longer then they would interfere with longer protective boots.

Those look full motocross - would not fit under the shifter or most dual sports other than maybe the Dakar.
My cheapies stop above the ankle and very light ....I wear Gortex hiking boots and actually bought some ankle guards as well for under the socks. Covers against rocks and branches but I can still move my ankle and walk easily.

Nah, not MX. The SIDI Adventure are more of a cross between their racing boots and adventure / touring boots.
Some of the features from a high end race boot like the SIDI Vortice:

And the SIDI On Road Goretex:

Gives you the SIDI Adventure Gortex:

I hear you about shifting though. Some people say they have no problem using these boots on their bikes and others adjusted their shifters. Those Adventure boots would go a long way to mitigating a spiral fracture on your ankle.

I was just about to order those a few days ago.

I am using sidi vertigo boots and love them. However this kind of limits the amount of knee protection to buy as usually the shin guards go too far down. I did pick up a pair of EVS vision knee braces which stop just above the boot. However they are not the most comfortable thing in the world, use them for commuting mainly and on spirited rides. Can't vouch for them for over an hour of riding though.
