Looking to rent a sport tourer for the day, maybe a monster or something, tour the pacific coast highway. I only have my m2, will i be able to rent one?

Probably, usually as long as they see an M on your lisc of some sort you are ok. It depends on the company though.

They probably do not even know what an M2 is. They see a motorcycle license, that is probably enough. I know my cousin rented a Harley in Florida about 7 years ago with his M2.

eaglerider does.

Most likely you will, just make sure you are able to purchase insurance. A lot of places in the states assume you have your own, and some don't even have the option of getting insurance from them.
