How old is too old?

I haven't found a single shop yet that carries a tire manufactured in 2011/2012 or 2013 (for argument's sake).
So how old is too old?
 
Did you try bluestreak or petes? My tires from bluestreak were dated Jan 13.

lol...a tire a couple years old sitting on a shelf is not old. Especially with the modern compounds. Old would be minimum 5 yrs+.
