Anyone do this mod on a Honda Shadow 750? http://www.ss750.net/vtxrim.htm
I came across it but am not qualified to attempt myself. Looking to do it but rather than use the VTX 15 x 4.5 rim on 200 tire want to go with an 18 x 5.5 rim on 200 tire (to have that wide tire lower profile/sidewall look, see attached pic). From what I've read in other online Shadow forums it is doable via the same process, thing is most are in the US
Apparently no modification to the swingarm, brakes and suspension needed. Just minor mod to the rear subframe under the fender, possible fendor chop and relocate of the lights/plate.
Looking for a shop in Ontario with the expertise in these type of mods. Thanks!
