HID/ Angel Eye Install

Hey guys, I've been working away at my dual HID Angel eye project and taking advantage of having my bike in the living room for the winter, but I've run into a problem :(. I can't test the lighting without turning the engine on, and I don't want to seal everything up and put it all back together until I know it's working. I was wondering if someone who is skilled with electronics and wiring could have a look at my craptacular wiring diagram I've conjured up to let me know if everything looks alright, or if there's something wrong. For details on the relay wiring in the centre of my diagram, you can refer to the pictures here: http://zx6r.com/guides/1354-dual-headlight-conversion.html

Why can you not turn it on with the engine not running ? A fully charged battery should fire the the HID bulbs fine . .. Also, are the stock bulbs h7 ?, did you use a h7 or h4 hid kit ? What are the headlight unites you are using, are they bulbs or whole projector units ?

I'm not sure what it is with the ZX6Rs (not sure if it's just the 03-04s) but the headlights don't come on until the engine is on, the HID ballasts are wired up to the battery, but also to the stock headlight harness, which only sends the signal to turn the lights on once the engine is on. The stock bulbs are an H7 set up, but to change it so that both lights run on both low and high beams, I used the H4 kit. The kit is a projector, but comes with H4 bulbs, angel eye hook ups and demon eye hook ups. All in all...Too many effin wires!!

To really know you are going to have to test it. There are not near enough detail in your diagram concerning the connections to the headlight unites to tell if it right. There is nothing wrong in yr diagram that I can see, but there is really not enough detail. Maybe you can use extra wires to apply power to the correct input pins on yr relays to simulate the power coming from the stock switches, then you should be able to test yr circuits.

On a zx6 you don't need to turn the bike completely on.
Just turn the key to the on position, press the starter and let go within half a second, that way your bike doesn't start and the lights will turn on.

I'll give this a try tomorrow, I'm just hoping that they come on with no problems!

I will come sort it out if you have beer !
If veno78's suggestion doesn't work I might just need some help, I also have a buddy coming over tomorrow to have a look at it, but I'll let ya know, thanks!

ummm...where's the switch? you only have relays connecting straight to the battery...the lamps will come on as soon as you complete the circuit

Just wanted to say thanks! This worked and the lights came on so it looks like everything was wired properly, thanks for the help!
