Two seniors dead in collision between motorcycle and tractor trailer

Emergency crews responded to a crash in Haliburton County Sunday afternoon that resulted in the deaths of two elderly motorcycle riders.

"The driver and passenger of the motorcycle, a 64-year-old woman and 79-year-old man, were pronounced dead."

That`s a gut punch to the community here. Rick was a genuine character, loved by everyone, so full of life and a passionate motorcyclist. The tragic end for him and his wife, Rose, have left people shocked. Rest in Peace.

A very sad day. Rick was a long time supporter of Ride for Sight. Over the last 15 or so years he was always busy, usually training new riders on Ride for Sight weekend, but he always showed up with his donation, bought an event shirt and off he went. I'll very much miss seeing him every year.
