Burks Falls, next to the beauuuuuuuuutiful 518.I heard they have good ones somewhere up north. Sounds like a good excuse for a ride to investigate.

I really don't care if they have pierogi or burgers. I just want to go for a ride.
Uh guys, can we NOT hijack my thread please?
The topic of this whole thread is pierogis.
NOT BURGERS.
Don't make me bring out the banhammer.
I highly recommend the "Yeager style schnitzel" at Cafe BC in the Bancroft area. Been there twice so far and hasn't diasspointed, especially the first time when they served it in a styrofoam box and forced us to eat on a park bench during Covid.

And they also have "Perogies".
Love Wheelsport. We're currently riding some trails around the Ottawa area and Neda's bike's started overheating, probably due to the 40°C temps we've been riding in.
We limped the bike to a motel and called the closest Husky dealership which was in Orleans just east of the city.
When we told them we were from out of town, they told us to drop by immediately and they would work on her bike in between scheduled customers. Seemed like they were quite busy too.
WOW!
We dropped the bike off at 9AM and they had the bike diagnosed (one broken fan out of the two) by lunchtime. The bike would still have been functional with one fan, but not at trail speed and definitely not at 40°C. They bypassed the thermostat and had the one remaining fan working full-time to get us back on the road to Toronto tomorrow. Looks like another scorcher ahead of us. 100+ km/h on the slab should help keep the engine cool. Just gotta source a fan and get a shop to install it for us when we get back.
Anyway, if you find yourself with a mechanical issue while out riding in the Ottawa area, definitely give Wheelsport a call. Really good bunch of guys! They are a multiline dealership selling KTM, Husky, GasGas, CFMoto and Suzuki, but will probably do service work on all makes.

Super happy to be back on the road!
Love Wheelsport.
Here's my GP vs Wheelsport experience (keep in mind GP was pretty much the only place getting my money at the time):
November 2017 a random guy in the Ganny let me ride his KTM 2T (I had a YZ450 at the time). That made me want one so next day I called around to KTM/Husky dealers. GP salesman told me they don't have any 300XC's so I asked if they were getting any in the future to which they told me they didn't know. I asked him to check and he said (seemingly begrudgingly like I was bothersome) that he'd call me back. Two days later still no call so I called them in case I was lost in their shuffle and still no answer from them.
So I checked Kijiji to see if any dealers were listing them and saw an add from Wheelsport for one and called them.
Me: "Have a new 18 in stock?"
Wheelsport: "Yup, we have two."
Me: "What's your best out the door price?"
Wheelsport: (~$1500 less than any other dealer I had called. No fee's, just tax). Keep in mind every dealer sold every one of these back then so there wasn't much for deals. Barrie dealer wouldn't budge a nickel on a TX300 for example.
Me: "Sounds good. I'll take one. When can it be ready and just curious, do you happen to have any deliveries coming out my direction that I could meet to save me some drive (I was 3.5hrs away so it never hurts to ask)"
Wheelsport: "We can have it ready tomorrow. We don't but our receptionist is always looking for extra work. You pay gas and a few hours wage and as long as you can unload it at your end she can bring it down in a few days.
Me: "Deal!" (Transferred the dealer the payment, delivery ended up costing me $150 and saved me 7+hrs of my time).
Bike arrived on time a couple days later in perfect shape in the back of a pickup. I unloaded it and she handed me the paperwork/binder with no surprises and said enjoy the bike!
I still have the bike and will never sell it.
It was before the recent expansion but they were still in the new store and had already expanded to put the bikes upstairs. I feel their customer service just keeps declining the bigger they get. It's sad that this is the type of review I've heard about GP in the past when they were smaller. Good to know that Wheelsport still understands customer service at 50 years, when GP seems to be falling down at only half that age.
Love Wheelsport.

That sounds just like the phase that H-D went through, not all that long ago selling bikes. Kinda` apples/oranges comparo, a bit ironic.I don't think negative reviews are going to impact GP Bikes' business. They're a juggernaut at this point.
If you don't take your bike there for service, there are 10 other riders who will take your spot in line on their two-week waiting list.![]()
