Fuel pump problem

ok i just tested my fuel pump with a multimeter and got a reading of 002.4 ohm . Does that mean the fuel pump is done ?? And can the bike still run without the fuel pump , cause my bike starts and runs just its feels like its starving for gas and the fuel filter was just changed and now I cant hear my fuel pump prime .. Its a 99 R6 and i think the manual says 4 - 30 ohm

There is a test in the factory service manual for measuring the fuel pump delivery pressure and volume. You need to do that test.

when i take the fuel line off going to the carbs the pump primes and shoots out fuel , when i hook the line back up to the carbs , the fuel pump doesn't prime . Is my fuel pump shot and doesn't have enough pressure to fuel the carbs & that's why its feels like the bike isn't getting enough fuel ??
