Sold my V-Strom but still have the OEM cases and racks, also have the spacers that were used to mount them. Previous owner dropped the bike on its side and one of the cases was damaged. He taped up the case inside and out, painted the outside so it is not quite as obvious. Externally, the damage is on the inside of the case, facing the bike so it is not really visible. I've had zero issues with leaking while riding in the rain.
I'm not even sure what to ask for these, any reasonable offer takes them. No issues splitting up the rack and cases if you want one without the other. Thanks for checking out the ad.
