Front brake stuck on any tips

Hey guy the bike is a 05 ducatimonster
Took it out if storage yesterday noticed the brake light is stuck on. I determined its the front switch.

Any chance you have aftermarket levers on?
Obviously nothing changes while in storage but ive read about fitment issues of cheaper levers that actually partially apply the brake.

No they are original brembo

Here is another update I noticed when I release my front brake lever and wiggle and I move it slightly upwards the light turns off

Okay here is another update if i tap under the master cylinder or anywhere near the lever with a screwdriver the light goes off.. So clearly when i pull lever in the switch stays stuck

If you can work on it at the storage place, I'd remove it and check if there's something blocking it or if the tensioner guide or spring is damaged or corroded. Start from the caliper and follow the line up to see if anything is blocking it between brake pad to adjuster as you just have to unbolt the calipers to check the brake pad.

I have pretty much confirmed problem is at the lever but i cannot figure out how to get to where the switch is

I'd just shoot a bit of lube in the general direction of the lever & switch and squeeze the lever several dozen times. Something dried out over winter, most likely.

Ok i took it apart and i believe fixed it yes was stuck.. Now i cant line up the lever hole to push the bolt through to get the lever back on.. I left work early today to ride!

Done! Case closed! Installed new levers too :-)

Okay a follow up question this golden screw goes in and out and i can adjust the lever sensivity.. If i screw this in too much will the brakes stay on or start to rub?

The spring should be strong enough to prevent that, but the brake will bite really early when you squeeze the lever.

Adjust to taste is all.
