exhaust gasket ninja 650 -2006

a buddy just picked up a pipe for a 2006 ninja 650.
its a 2 bros, and the mid pipe lines up and it all bolts on fine, but where the midpipe joins the headers its not as snug as ide like it.
is tehre a gasket or gasket maker i can use? the OEM one was wayyy tooo thick. i was debating just having it welded on to create a perfect seal but that seems overkill.

hes got spare headers but it really just needs a super thin gasket.

You could try some exhaust sealant in the slip joint. Typically it will seal up better when it gets hot, slip joints aren't always super tight.

Great thanks.. ill try that permatex. Ive used their rtv products before and they are great.

My akra for my cbr is a crazy tight fit and it came with a sealer for it... maybe the 2 bros fits how 8t should but it jusy seems like it should be tighter.
His 2 bros is way louder than my akra even with the plug out.
Mine is 79db at idle... havent checked his db yet.
