I think last time I bought a battery it had a core charge until I returned the old battery
When I go in and ask for any part I am absolutely astounded at how many key strokes it takes to find anything. How many useless fields do they have to work thru?
Still the same.I think last time I bought a battery it had a core charge until I returned the old battery
the last one always being “Does it have air conditioning?”. WTF does that have to do with brake shoes.
Some but not all. I haven't seen a green screen at the parts counter in years... made self-serve easier when they left them unattended, I don't know how to work the new ones. Though these days I mostly buy parts from Rock Auto so I guess it doesn't matterI worked at Canadian tire in the early 90s, and as much as this is a running joke there was actual scenarios where seemingly mindless questions like this were actually valid – for example some cars at the time where optioned in ways that an upbadge that included options like air conditioning automatically also came with other “sport” features like beefed up suspensions or bigger brakes.
They needed to be some critical thinking involved in the process however – for some things it actually mattered even when one wouldn’t think it would, but if a customer came in asking for something as mundane as windshield wipers for one example, well, obviously it didn’t matter at all….but some employees would still ask. And probably do to this day considering Canadian tire is still using some of the systems to this day that they were back when I worked there lol, as well as the reality that things like critical thinking skills are becoming a lost start.

What's going on here? Why can't anybody get their sh!t together?
Hey man, leave X-ers out of this. We are still multi-talented problem solvers that are not afraid of hard work and getting our hands dirty.Because we are now living in the X, Y, Z generation where nobody gives a ****. They all want to be CEOs upon graduating with some useless degree.
Bottom line, trust no one and do your own homework. Pull the original battery out, get the battery number off it and also take its dimensions. I needed a YUASA YTX-14S and amazingly it fit.
I need a dentist and a doctor. I do my own everything else (vehicle maintenance and repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, concrete pouring...) and it is done right the first time. Trust no one!

Since pretty much every Japanese manufacturer uses Yuasa as their OEM battery, I always go off that then find an equivalent:

Looks like a YTX14-BS or equivalent (assume TX14 in the Energizer chart above?) fits all ER-6 models...
