What's your excuse for not attending?

A reminder for those living under a rock or new to motorcycles, this is the one event you should go to.

It's a fantastic weekend which appeals to all ages.

Camp, drink beers and watch the fastest guys in the country all in short drive/ride from the GTA.

Demo rides BMW, Ducati, Honda and Suzuki.

Main reason i go for is the Mcmosport burger ;)

Lets try and support this race.

Awesome weekend, highly recommended. This year I'm taking the kids on Sunday, so unfortunately no group ride.... unless you count the family truck ride fighting over the stereo controls as a 'group ride'..

Excellent time. My favorite spot is Moss' Corner (turn 5?), I find turn 3 to bee too fast and boring to be frank... In between races you have to run out to the concession to grab a McMosport burger!

See you guys at the demo rides!

PS one suggestion is to bring a radio to tune in the race announcements.

Oh yes, the demo rides and good point for the radio. It's going to be an awesome weekend

my excuse it the weird rule that if you go sat you have to buy sunday's ticket as well; even if you are not planning to attend. you can refund it on exit sat evening but that's a huge hassle to bring the extra $35 and then take the risk of losing it while on a track walk. they need to get rid of that rule, the track is far and not everyone can attend both day's !
otherwise, great event that i have enjoyed in the past... but skipping it this year for the above reason.
i like "turn 7" for the top speed, turn 5 is okay but it get's very crowded.. they should take out somemore brush.

Yes, it is a must attend event for any biker.

The racing, the demo rides, the events they put on, the camping, the partying. Great time to be had for sure. Plus you can walk the track at night! Just dont forget to bring a few beers with you, its a long walk haha

Seriously? Sounds like a ridiculous reason to miss an awesome day. If you are that worried, leave it in your car or bike.

Anyways, for those going, also check out the BMW Mottorad section, usually equipped with cool stuff like stunting or real (aka in movies) adventure bikes...

.

I don't remember this being that big of a hassle last year. I only went for the Saturday.

Am I going crazy or was the mosport double header held in july previous years?

yes, until this year when the ALMS event got rescheduled to July which was good since it's previous date on labour day weekend conflicted with alot of other stuff despite usually having a good turnout. in any event, mosport switched the csbk date to fill an empty august calender. hopefully good weather for all or else they'll have to send Jordan Szoke out to "test" the track for everyone like in 07... your a soldier Jordan, lol !

Those who don't know it you can buy the BMW Summerfest ticket for $50 which includes admission for all 3 days, camping, dinner Saturday Night. Far cheaper than buying admission and camping at the gates. And no you don't have to have a BMW to buy one!
