Hey everyone...just wondering if anybody can recommend a good shipper to ship a bike from Conneticut in the USA to Mississauga. I had a shipper all aranged on USHIP.COM and he screwed me at the very last minute. His price was very good...only 300 bucks because he was picking up other stuff along the way. The very last day he emails me ( not even a phone call!) and tell me he is sorry but the stuff he picked up before my bike filled up his whole truck blah blah. Whatever. So can anyone recommend a well priced shipper maybe that they have used in the past? I've already got a customs broker and payed the duties, taxes etc I'm just waiting on a shipper!

Conversely, does anyone also know where to rent a pick up truck that give unlimited kilometers? I know they exist but MOST give you an allowance. To get to where I need to go and come back is about 1400 kilometers.

Thanks in advance!

If you are shipping it as general freight try Yellow. They have a regular run to NYC everyday.
If not talk to Gecko on this site.

FEDEX GROUND?
You don't ship much huh?

If you have anything that can tow, renting a trailer will be a lot less expensive then a truck. Have you considered taking a bus down and ridding it back?

Have you complained to USHIP that the driver they booked for you left you hanging? maybe they can work something out for you?

as a matter of fact our US partner does indeed ship a great deal and Fedex ground is flexible for unique needs and less than a truck full on a skid and will be competitive with arm twisting.

Here's a rate finder....

oh man, just came back from ct and picked a bike there on the weekend. i thru it in my pickup. made a trip out of it , went to NYC.
8 hours from oakville
$200 fuel
$100 hotel
8 hours back to oakville

i wish i rode it back but wasnt licensed/insured

some home depots sell an open trailer cheap but the vans and trucks are all capped on mileage for just this reason.
found flights on us airways for $120 out of buffalo...3 hrs
bus was $80 but took 8 hrs
pick a couple good days and ride back

haha I dont have my m1 yet so can't do that. if I rent a pick up how do I or what is the best way to tie down the bike? What did you use? And I did some researching online and places like hertz says unlimited mileage up to 3000KM but only in ontario. how would they know i even went to CT?
