very nice, but with other bikes in the same class coming with quickshift and tcs - it's a bit on the expensive side.

It looks like they are bringing out a street fighter and an adventure model as well. Interesting to see what's to come.

That 2 into 1 exhaust and the headlight are scary looking. ... But being ugly was always Buell's specialty.
Rims are nice at least. The rest of the bike is not aesthetically pleasing, however competition is always good and it definitely makes more sense then Motus, as mentioned above.

whats more annoying...buell or norton resurrection stories ??

i like the honda comstar tribute rims....

With more and more bikes coming with the exhaust under the bottom I'm surprised they chose a conventional can off the rear pegs set up. Other than that I think it's great looking. It's different which he's always been known to make and pricing seems good as pointed out by n3wman.

Now I know what it reminds me of: An RC8 that china tried to "reproduce".

I don't know if it's all that different. It just looks like an older SS with a weird exhaust and a silly windshield that directs the flow right at your torso.
It's definitely more cookie cutter than Buell used to be (not that I was ever a fan but at least they were actually unique).

Hopefully someone will make an aftermarket seat for this bike. Doesn't look butt friendly.

If it had a single pipe leading to the can, less front overhang, and if the exhaust tip and rear seat didn't point straight up at the sky it would be actually somewhat pleasing aesthetically.

Headlight actually grew on me a bit since I've had a 2nd look.

Interesting that HERO owns half of Buell now. I wonder how the American nationalists will respond to that.

The 1190RX, like its predecessor the 1190RS has two mufflers, there is a main one under the motor, and the secondary one by the passenger peg provides additional noise control to meet EPA regulations. The secondary can comes off in a few minutes with basic hand tools, leaving you with a still not loud but race ready muffler under the motor. The passenger pegs, turn signals, etc all also come off easy for track day conversions.

meh...Eric Buell doesn't exactly have a good track record with his designs. He's finally building what Harley should have let him build, but the high-end superbike market is oversaturated with good companies making reliable bikes.

Looks like a TL 1000 to me and I'm sure this bike would be nothing short of an amazing experience out on a race track, where it belongs.

And yet the whole industry has started using his designs......under engine exhaust?

Hard to compete with the Japs and the Germans. Even Ducati now has the German money and engineering with some good Italian aesthetics. I commend them for giving this a shot though, bike does look and sounds pretty solid.

He was not the first to do this. How quickly people forget that Buell had to recall almost every bike he made for frame failures. Harley had enough of him, he was costing them too much money.
