Are ECE (only) helmets road legal in Ontario ?

Was looking at some dirt bike helmets, and tried on a Klim F3 which felt incredible. However this was the model that is only ECE certified and the box says it is not for road use. I would love to be able to have it serve occassional road duty as well.

I did some searching and supposedly Ontario allows British certified helmets (BSA?) and that ECE supercedes thos and should thus also be included , but could not find anything specifically saying helmets bearing only an ECE helmet are legal.

From an amendment to the Ontario Highway Traffic Act:

Motorcycle Helmet Standards

An amendment made to Highway Traffic Act Regulation 610 (Safety Helmets) has added the European helmet standard, commonly known as ECE 22.05, to the list of recognized standards for helmets worn by riders of motorcycles and motor assisted bicycles. This amendment comes into force on July 1, 2012.
