Anyone park near downtown Hospitals?

I was wondering if anyone out there parks near any of the downtown hospitals? I see the same bikes everyday near my office and I was wondering how their experiences have been. Any issues with careless drivers? Vandals? Thefts? I notice that no one keeps their helmet locked to their bike, so maybe that says everything.

I haven't taken my bike downtown yet, but would like to next week. I want to park either on Edward St or just off of Elm.

There is a quiet street off Bay just north of Gerrard call Hayter St. Check it out. Not much traffic and very visible just off Bay, so relatively safe and less chance of busy traffic with cars knocking it down from constant street parking. There are always a few bikes there.
