FIM World Supersport rider Andrea Antonelli has succumbed to his injuries after suffering a crash at the Moscow Raceway on Sunday.

Craig Jones died at Brands Hatch in 2008 in a WSS race in a similar fashion a few years back, and unlike this case, conditions were perfectly clear and track has a great surface. This is the 3rd similar high profile death in recent years. I am thinking neck and chest braces may be the next evolution in protection.

Already available but nobody wears them.

His death was caused by massive head trauma, not a broken neck.

Rip andrea. Still can't understand why they allowed them to race in those conditions. Since the riders couldn't see in front of them how would they avoid a body lying on the racetrack.
Imo it was totally avoidable. Moto gp wouldnt race in that. They should have postponed it. Zanetti must feel terrible.
