Advice for M1 Exit in Aurora

Hey all, I just bought me some bright orange cones and am going to do some practicing for the M1 Exit next month in Aurora. Has anyone done this test in Aurora and can give me some advice for the location and route they use? I've seen some cones set up at the bowling alley on Industrial - not sure if this is the place where they do the test...

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, they do it at the bowling alley. There are squares marking where the cones would go, best thing you can do is just practice.

When doing the serpentine just keep in mind that the ground is elevated... So going one way will require less clutch and the other way will require more, a lot of people get thrown off by that and go too fast on the way back thus screwing up.

The route itself is simple, you start at a parking lot @ Yonge St and Edward St.
1) Right turn from Edward to Yonge St.
2) Left turn from Yonge St to Brookland Ave, then you go in and out of the LCBO parking lot
3) Right turn from Brookland Ave back to Yonge St.
4) Left turn from Yonge St back to Edward St then you go back in the parking lot.

They look for the tire track you use, speed, lane changes and your turns.

I did my test back in April so I don't know if they've changed things up or not. Good luck!

Passed! Thanks to Josh for his detailed info on the Aurora M1 Exit test. I've got some advice for others too in case you are doing it here - Watched a poor guy fail today too. I felt so bad for him.
