I'm FINALLY building an insulated, enclosed room in the pole barn close to the house. For a long time I was satisfied with just working in the uninsulated shop over the warmer months but now I want to do stuff over the winter as well, since I decided to embrace retirement.
Before the freeze up I poured 16 bags of cement to level the concrete floor where it had dropped many years ago before we moved here in 2005. Last week I found a 3'X4' window at The Restore as well as a couple new steel-clad doors for a bargain, and have installed the window last Saturday. This weekend I intend to move forward with framing and whatever else my knees can take.
The pole barn is 40X60 and the room is a cozy 12X20.
When it's sealed up I'm gonna finish re-wiring my 1974 Commando and actually get riding it this summer.
I'm cleaning up the linkage on my wr250x. I have it listed for sale, as I recently bought its replacement; a ktm 500 exc-f. Unlikely to sell at this time of year. Better market in the spring.
Wr is indestructible, but I drank the orange kool-aid and had a lust for more power and lighter weight.
I'll likely bolt some parts on if we get a mild day, otherwise it all goes on on the spring.
Was seriously considering YSS shocks for my 650 bear.I moved the preload up to 4th position which allows the shocks to use full travel. The harshness is gone.

Dirtbike has been on the lift for months waiting for me to order tires, sprockets and a chain.
CB750 motor on the bench has been touched since I started building the DragWing in the summer of 24. It calls out to me now and again...
KLR is still waiting for a new shock - it's still rideable.
All of these are hold while I try to get my sled running. After the 6th attempt (which finally included oxy/acetylene heat) I got the clutch off so the motor should be on the bench later today. Then it's coming apart for new seals.
2 stroke sled motors are a joy to work on. No valve train and no transmission.
I bought a mint Honda CBR300R for peanuts. It's mint until you realize the bike is neglected for 5+ years. So it's going to get new brake fluid, oil, filter, fuel, probably coolant too if I can figure out how to do that without making a mess. Also some new tires.
I also have a Triumph Speed 400 in the garage that I'm hoping to replace everything on just for content (how to videos)... So, I'll show how to remove the wheels, adjust the chain, replace the oil and filter, replace the air filter, etc. Then I'll just put the original parts back on because the thing is basically brand new. I just want to show the kids how it's done.
Working on thinning the herd. I'm not getting time to ride them, so is time they go someone else who has the time to enjoy them.
The old Dodge pickup was gifted to my highschool auto shop, the old Jeep goes there next week. Gonna give them an TC125 and an XV920r too as the teacher wants to do some motorcycle related projects.
A few should be in the Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread by spring if all goes according to plan.
Main winter project is reviving a couple of barn find 2Ts: 74 RD125, and a 74 Jawa Californian.
I always hated silver colored wheels that accumulate dirt/oil/grime and are hard to keep clean. I have an extra pair so I think I'm going to have them professionally painted semi-gloss black or grey (to match the color of the bike). Any recommendations for a shop that can do it well and for a reasonable price are welcome.

Rice Rocket has been reasonable for powder coating. A number of people on here have had their wheels done by them. I had some work parts powder coated there years ago and it was quite reasonable. Rice Rocket Custom Powder Coating Toronto GTA
I'm planning on another 10,000km ride out west next season so... I should maybe service a few things like swing arm bearings, check the steering head bearings... Look at the drive shaft U-Joint... Do Throttle body sync.
I'll get around to it in he new year
