Question guys, I need some feed back. Right now I have a 2005 suzuki gsxr 600 and planning to upgrade. I was planning to go to a 1000 but insurance almost doubles, not sure why cause I am 30 and I do have a clean record. Anyhow, so I decided to get a 750 and stay there cause lets be honest we all know evena 600 is more than enough for the city. I know a guy who is going to be selling his 2008 gsxr 750 that only has less than 2000km. The seller is a mature rider, I would say late 30s or mid 40s. It is in great shape. I asked huim why kow km, and he said he races and was planning to turnt he 750 to a track bike but wasnt impressed therefore bought a RR1000 instead. I am sure he has money cause he is a collector and multiple bikes and cars as well. I am suppose to be picking it up this week. He agreed to sell it for $7200 cash which I thought it is good deal consideing the low km.

Now few questions,

1) Do you think if it a good deal?
2) Could have the Odometer been rolled back and if so how can I find out?
3) Any negative/positives on the bike.

Thank you guys

1) Yes.......and you'll probably get it for $7K = even better.
2) Yes, but not likely. Check for Bridgestone BT016 (factory) rubber. Someone else can chime in with the tire code. They had a BT016 that is purely an OEM tire, which should still be on the bike, and there's a BT016 (retail).
Also, look at the rubber on the shifter pedal. If it's worn, it's got higher than stated mileage.
3) Rectifier recall from Suzuki applies to that bike. Ask the owner if he's had the swap done yet. If not, you can get it done when (if) you own it free of charge - just send Suzuki of Canada an email with your V.I.N.
All else is positive with that bike. I had two trouble free 2008's.

You don't roll back odometers......you replace the existing one with a lower mileage one.

look at the chain and sprockets. if stock and in good condition, then mileage is true. this is probably the only real way to be sure, since any replacement chain will have a master link, whereas the stock doesn't.

Good call..........and take / make note that the stock chain has a blue one.
