2006 GS500F stolen from yonge and finch condo lot

sad day today, my trusty GS500 was stolen from underground parking lot at yonge and finch. I know this is not uncommon but thought i should share and warn others in the area to chain up your bike if you can!

details of my baby were:

2006 white / blue GS500F
metallic blue bar ends
R&G frame sliders
soft saddle bags filled with extra riding gear and oil.
GTAM sticker on back fender
brand new bridgestone tires (not even 100kms on these...)


so sad...
 
What kind of scumbag steals a 500?

yeah, insurance should be able to cover it. and yeah with my bags covering the actual GS500F stickers, most people mistake it for a gixxer.

there is also a very nice aprillia in my lot!
 
Well that's surprising....again no offence to your bike, but it's a GS500....anyone that knows anything can't mistake it for a Gixxer....oh wait it's a thief.

I'm sure whoever took it knew it wasn't a Gixxer. Sometimes the cheap bikes are targeted because noone puts a tracking device or alarm on these type of bikes.
 
that's crappy.

On a brighter note, you have insurance and don't have to winterize anything. At least if you go to the bike show this spring, you'll be able to check out what to buy next. Although i would consider not parking it where your gs was, they might come back for the replacement.
 
That thief is gonna be in so much **** when he brings it back to the shop and boss man says that's not a Gixxer sixxer you idiot.

the condo lot has no security cameras?

i agree with the others - some moron theif really doesn't know his bikes and wanted the GSXR.

btw, which companies insure the SS bikes? Echelon and Intact don't.
 
Thieves steal anything convenient whether it be your helmet/gloves sitting on your bike, tools, or the bike itself.

Haven't heard much of it lately, but scooters are also stolen as well...

Also, a bike thief doesn't have to be a bike person to know how to steal a bike. All they have to know is steal + sell = get $$.
