1994 Kawasaki ZX-11

I'm selling my black, 1994 ZX-11. It has 6798 Miles/10876 Kilometres on the odo. It was originally an American bike but is now titled as an Ontario vehicle. It's factory stock, no mods.

The motor has been rebuilt because of a spun 3rd connecting rod bearing. All new piston rings, main bearings, rod bearings, seals and gaskets. The cylinder bores were in very good condition when the motor was disassembled due to low mileage, but I had them honed as the previous owner didn't store the parts very well when he took it apart; and there was some slight surface rust on the bores. Gord Bush Performance in Etobicoke honed the cylinders for me as well as balance the connecting rods. It has one new connecting rod in it. The crank journals were welded and reground by Falicon Crankshaft Components Inc. in Florida. All the assembly has been done by myself. I have pictures of most of the engine build if you're interested. The motor has only a few kilometres on it since the rebuild, and still needs to be broken in.

In addition to the rebuild it has several other new components:
-Brand new Michelin Pilot Road 3's
-Brand new EK SRX chain
-Brand new JT sprockets
-Brand new Motomaster Eliminator Powersports battery
-Brand new OEM water pump
-Rebuilt Clutch Master
-New Fuel Hoses and Filter
-New Rear brake pads

The bike has many new parts on it, far too many to list. I have receipts for everything.

The gas tank was cleaned and sealed with POR-15's gas tank restoration kit, and put back together with all new gaskets, seals, and in tank filters.

I have the lower fairings for the bike and am waiting for some hardware to install them.

THE BIKE HAS A CURRENT SAFETY.

On the negative side, the bike has some cosmetic blemishes. There are three dents in the tank. Two are fairly small and unoticeable, but the third is bigger and has a scratch that goes to metal in the middle of it (the last dent is my fault, incurred at the very last stage of cleaning the tank

). One of the mirrors has scratches on it as well. Also, the right handlebar has a slight kink in it. You probably wouldn't notice it if I didn't tell you, but it's there.

And finally, my REASON FOR SELLING THE BIKE: I finished putting the bike back together and got some insurance quotes which were astronomical. Since I started the project about 3 years ago, rates for this bike have gone up A LOT. From what I have gathered from my broker and other forums, this is mainly due to my geographical location within Toronto and my age (27), as well as the displacement of the bike. Insurance companies serving my area used to classify this bike as a sport touring bike, but no longer. Now it is classed a super sport. Since I don't plan on moving anytime soon and am aging at the same rate as everyone else, the bike is for sale.

I'M ASKING $3500 (CAN). I'm really just looking to make back most of what I put into it.
