Yup, she is an RSMC and delivers a suburban route with community mail boxes. RSMC's need to supply their own vehicle and get paid for the total number of kilometres on the daily line of travel. It works out that it actually costs more to provide a good working vehicle than what is paid for but...

She mentioned that another restructuring is coming to her depot. She has to supply her own vehicle so I doubt very much that she is going to leave it on her route, cab back for lunch then go back out. She eats on the fly or waits until she is done delivering anyway. Last time their depot...

There is literally a list of places in countries far more liberated than Russia that will pay you to move there. In any event, I think this couple got exactly what they deserved, the kids certainly didn't.
