I've never owned a Kawasaki, but KLRs have always felt like I bike I'll eventually buy. Isn't every man in his 40's supposed to buy one and bungie a milk crate to the back?
I think if you have a bike sold as street-legal from the manufacturer (which the MTO keeps a list of) ... then you may be able to go back. But if the bike isn't originally street-legal (like mine) then if you ever switch it to offroad-only again... it would be permanent like Paul said.

Hmm... your clue has me feeling... Blue... but if so that's at least a 4-hour round-trip ride for me. I'm too lazy for such a romp if I don't really know where to park the bike to take the pic :) Who else is gonna get it! :D
