Yes. I think the losses have been higher on the smaller bikes that are popular for new riders. In a nutshell, these starter type bikes attract new riders and inexperienced riders have more accidents.

They charge the industry standard 3% on the total premium:
Premium + 3% divided by 6 = The amount of each of the 6 payments payable over the first six months of the policy term.
This is true, however there is some immediate good news. Any super sport bike manufactured in 1996 or older is not subject to a surcharge. Prior to January 1st it was 1995 and older. Therefore, if you have a 1996 super sport model bike Jevco will no longer apply a surcharge.

You are entitled to a pro rata (without penalty) cancellation based on the quoted premium. I would recommend that you exercise this option and then start a new policy in August once your accident is one year old.
