The Darth Vader look is cool for sure. And I'm sure Australia is pretty hot and humid. For me it's mostly city riding in Toronto where it also gets pretty hot and steamy at 30-40c with humidity. I've received lots of good suggestions to explore. Thanks for your input.
Makes sense. But I was looking for an outer layer with kevlar or other abrasion resistant material to keep the armour intact but still be brethble and cool. Perhaps it just doesn't exist and a lighter jacket or base layer is all that is available.
The Scorpion Vortex looks decent for sure. I wonder if anyone even makes the armoured style jersey outer layer shirt I'm looking for? Perhaps there just isn't a demand for it compared to a vented jacket.

Fair point. Not specifically dirt bike but in that realm. I'm picturing a simple long sleeve kevlar type jersey that has some built in armour for city riding/commuting in the summer heat at a moderate, stop and go speed.
