I got the Street Triple 765 last year and it's a blast, insurance wasn't much more than the 2003 SV650S I had before. The SV is a good option as well, but you'll have to upgrade the suspension if you weigh more than 120lbs.

when I got my springs from them for my SV650 they sent a short piece of thin wall stainless pipe and some washers to make the spacers out of. You could probably source some from a local Noble trade or NEXT plumbing.

the fee's are based on the value, not the country of origin. The Race Fit pipe I got last year (from Race Fit) had the value marked to $50 so I didn't pay any duty. If it's being shipped UPS, Fed-Ex or DHL you'l probably get dinged brokerage as well
