A few years ago I bought my 2008 zx6r for $5,000. Different bike, would have been newer at the time and mine had around 5,000km (original tires). I do think they only devalue so much though.

At renewal. Zx6r - I called around and TD is $200 cheaper than what I was paying to Aviva. M&W is $1,000 cheaper for my home and auto!

Lol. I just got a letter saying Aviva will drop me as of September. I'm going to try shopping around before I call and complain again. They said I needed to have 6yrs experience, and I've only been licensed for 4 yrs.

They changed there minds and have agreed to insure me for another year. Next year one of the tickets will drop off. They increased my rates by $100 for the year so not terrible.

I wear glasses, a bell helmet with a transition visor and love the visor. I find the helmet a bit noisy but I don't have a lot of other helmets to compare it too.

Next year I will be moving to a full M. I was curious what sort of rate decrease can I expect? Does a 10% drop sound reasonable? I know there are many factors that impacts insurance premiums. that is why I am going by percentage.

My dad passed his beginner's course and now has an M2. He got his first bike and dropped it last weekend while at a stop. He was embarrassed for sure. Same story with my younger brother. Luckily I haven't dropped my zx6r but I won't be too surprised when it does. **** happens. Good luck...

My dad was looking for his first bike and picked up a new 2014 CTX700N. Price was good at $6,100 taxes included plus Honda had a show special where they through in 2yr warranty, back pack and a $500 voucher towards training (like getting your full M).

Hopefully someone is able to pick up where this left off. I'd love to ride a bike like that!

I had my zx6r with SF for a few months this summer but switched to Aviva because my total insurance plan was cheaper when I grouped in my home, cars and bike. State Farm was considerably more. The bike was cheaper on its own but the other premiums were ridiculous so I switched.

I just got my first bike. I assumed it would have a mixture of antifreeze in it. Glad I read this post, I need to check that out. Is there any reason why not to run a mixture in the summer? I see some mentioning they drain out the coolant.

I know I am a newbie around here but based on the recommendations I took my Zx6r to Ace Moto. I am glad I did because he is a stand up guy. I won't hesitate to bring my bike back again. Great shop and great mechanic.
