There's a guy here in Cobourg riding an Indian with a batwing fairing. When I'm out with the GS in the winter he's always out also. Half helmet and sometimes has a skeleton on the rear seat. I'd like to meet that guy someday, he's tough!
Good choice, and that's from a GS rider! You'll really enjoy the adv bike. They're so good now you can pretend it's a street bike one day, and a decent off pavement bike the next. Have a blast.
I was waiting eagerly to demo the Suzuki GSX-1000 GT+ today. I got a notice saying things were postponed because the bikes were delayed. I was signed up and ready to go tomorrow, but now they're looking ay July. At least ATC coral were kind enough to let us know.
We rented from Eagle rider, A1 service. They have a handout with a number of suggested routes that we used and it was great for the first time down there. We plan on doing it again soon! One thing to remember though, we stayed on the strip and found getting to our room after a long day was tough...
Yes, welcome to the beemer club! Had a GTL a few years back and loved it. Traded it on a newer RT water cooled . Be prepared for a lot of new tires, all that power is just too tempting. you're going to enjoy that bike!
All new bikes are great, I've rode on many different ones and I've liked them all. Sometimes it boils down to the dealer that you feel good with. You want to make sure warranty work is done etc. I've bought on price alone and have been mad at myself a few seasons down the road when something...
You're right Baggsy. Take 41 to Griffith. The original route misses the best part of the ride to Calabogie . Then you've got a place for stopping at the end near Calabogie.. The OP should check out Shane Kingsley's map here on this site, it's the best and it's always helped my ride planning. I...
Went out around Cobourg/Port Hope last evening to shake down new bar risers and hand covers. I really wanted to test the Aerostitch Roadcrafter suit I bought off their big discount sale a month ago. I likey!
If you want to take a H-D out, just contact the dealer. No more demo truck like the old days. I always go to GP bikes for demo's, usually a big selection. I'm sure the factories have found some way to blame Covid for not doing it this summer though. Like everything now,if you're lazy and don't...
I bought my 1250 GS at downtown BMW. Last winter the service dept were doing a milk run in eastern On and stopped in to pick it up and then retuned it after a service. I'd call downtown and try to arrange something considering riding season has ground down. Maybe even call the sales guys as a...
After hauling down to Bikeweek in march a few times, I agree , and so does wifey, Eagle Rider rentals for any U.S. trips. Did it once in Vegas and loved it.
