    Some trail riding questions

If you're riding from Etobicoke than Simcoe County forest would be closer. Once you get to Orangeville you can pickup some entertaining road allowances to get you up to Simcoe County Forest. SCF has lots of good riding. OFTR membership is required there. If you go over to the east side of...

    Marmora mine to Bancroft

That area of Ontario has many roads perfectly suited to your 1190: Old Hastings Road, Hughes Landing Road, Pine View Ridge Road, Lingham Lake Road. Once you start exploring though, you'll wish you had a smaller bike... Mike

    Off-road riding in Toronto?

Most of the good riding is to the north-east of the city-if you're in Scarborough then you may be able to ride to some decent stuff. There are some legal road allowances a few miles past the zoo, also some of these road allowances pass by some "informal" riding areas. I often ride up to my...

    Riding season planning 2016

The route would have to be mixture of everything, but the trail portion could still be substantial. Obviously the faster trails would have to be chosen. Only one way to find out though! Mike

    Riding season planning 2016

Actually I am considering doing the RAP on a regular weekend with a start and finish in Toronto. The key would be to start Friday afterwork (3:00pm for me). Backroads can be picked up just north of the Metro zoo. Saturday and Sunday would be 12hr days. Tough but doable I think. Mike

    Ardbeg

Just curious how far you went on the hydro lines? From the south they are rideable from hwy 124 all the north past black lake to the north magnetewan river. Past there I've never had the time to explore. If you like rocks that's the place to go! If there is a continuation it would make for an...

    Riding season planning 2016

Hi Alon, name here is Mike. We rode together on the X-mas eve ride. I'm interested in some of your rides. I'd like to offer the idea of a Michigan ride-there is a large trail network which includes the MCCCT trail. From what i understand it is easy to go on a multi-day safari. I would...

The east side of Toronto is better for dualsporting in my opinion. There is a huge amount of grey area riding in Pickering. Riding out further works too on a dualsport. There are decent backroads and road allowances that will get you out to the Raglan Pits, where things really open up. From...
