2007 Yamaha FZ6 At times Grinding from 1st to 2nd

This definitely helps. So I guess its just the nature of the beast? All the other transmissions I have had to deal with have just been so smooth especially the zx6r. Was your FZ1 any better? Possibly my next ride :)

2007 Yamaha FZ6 At times Grinding from 1st to 2nd

No issues once the bike is in 2nd. Grind just happens while going in to gear or after a failed shift then the bike falls to Neutral. All other gears are fine shifting up and down from 6th down to 1st with no issues.

2007 Yamaha FZ6 At times Grinding from 1st to 2nd

Hey all, I have made the move to a more practical bike for commuting a 2007 Yamaha FZ6. Overall I am very satisfied with this bike. The power is there and its comfortable however I have one issue with this bike. Shifting from 1st to 2nd seems to be problematic. Sometimes it shifts nicely...

Should i trade my bike in?

Only paying $2000 for an SS is a good deal. Make sure you demo the bike before you buy it; there may be something else you don't like about the CBR.

    Should I tow?

Lol relaunch of such an old thread ;P What we ended up doing was just riding it down to a local shop where they did the oil change and gave the bike a once over. Bikes are not as fragile as we seem to think they are.

Just bought a used bike and it failed the safety miserably. What do I do?

Have any picture by any chance? At this point your only options is to fix everything. Call your insurance company and see if you can put through a claim otherwise your going to spend over the value of what you paid to fix it up.

    I crashed!!

Dude I'm glad your okay but don't forget speed was also a factor here and a bike you were not familiar with. Heal up quick and ride on :)

What was your next bike after a 250? Thoughts/regrets?

I would go with the SV650. It's overall a bulletproof ride that's very affordable and convenient in every way you look at it. I miss mine and have been thinking about going back.
