    Just starting out!

The CBR125 is a decent bike, but really it's a scooter. I'd go at least a 250. I've been riding an older 360cc bike which has been performance upgraded. Gets me around fine. Launches itself around traffic easily. Probably going to sell it and move up to something bigger. A lot of older Honda...

Satan called, he wants his weather back...

Reminds me of how fragile our existence is on this planet. I mean...We make this planet inhospitable for life where else we gonna go?

    Do it yourself garage?

Think the best way to do this would be as a school/class. Get all the waivers signed, experienced mechanic teaches and coaches, work is checked over. Bring your own tools of course. I know there are similar set ups for bicycles.

Satan called, he wants his weather back...

Really not into extreme hot or cold. I don't want to ride in 38c weather as much as it is undesirable to ride in winter conditions. I had this idea of summer cottages but more like underwater bases. A home built at the bottom of a lake. The water would naturally keep you cool in the summer...

    Using the clutch too much?

Yeah, I know coast into and through corners is a no-no. Can't see why coasting to a stop is bad. I'm usually downshifting on my way to a stop anyways. Instinctually I tend to grab the clutch and brake at the same time. Like if I see a car at an intersection wanting to turn and I haven't...

First bike... Ninja 500, Ninja 650, or SV650. Any advice or input?

A CB550 is a great bike and dirt cheap too.

    Atgatt

Mostly been riding around dusk to avoid the heat. I'm broke so I can't afford some light armored mesh jacket. Last time I rode was with my jean jacket (with jeans, boots, gloves, helmet) instead of my rather warm leathers. Was a lil nervous. I started thinking about how back in the day people...

New Rider, First bike: Which one??? (Guide to choosing your first ride)

I bought a CJ360T as my first bike. Dropped some weight on it and cafe'd it out a bit. Dirt cheap to insure and it's good for bopping around the city. If I had a do over I'd probably go with a Honda CB550.

    Using the clutch too much?

Yeah I was just curious. I hear people going on about clutch wear or how some experienced riders say "Oh, I never touch the clutch." I have an older Honda twin, it's fast but not as responsive as newer bikes obviously. I'm still trying to find the sweet spots in the rev range for gear shifts...

First bike... Ninja 500, Ninja 650, or SV650. Any advice or input?

A lot of people like the SV650, I think it's one that will serve you well for many years to come. I only like the naked version, preferably 2003 onwards for the fuel injection. Sounds sexy with a LeoVince can. If you can't afford a Ducati...Hell I think the bike I move up to next is the SV650...

How long before you were comfortable riding on the highway?

I think I need to get a little more comfortable/confident on my bike, hell I still barely look at my speedo cause I'm too busy eyeballing everything else. If my bike was a little bigger/faster I'd probably feel more confidence quicker as far as highway riding goes. I know I gotta get comfortable...

    Just starting out!

250 Ninjas are good starter bikes, especially if you are not that big. I see nothing wrong with a beginner going up as high as an 600cc as long as it's not a new sports bike.

    Using the clutch too much?

When coming up to a brake light or slowing down considerably I roll off the throttle and pull in the clutch just slightly before I actually apply braking. Is this wrong? I tend to to pull in the clutch whenever I feel I need to brake fast (faster than if I just rolled off throttle) in addition...

How long before you were comfortable riding on the highway?

I haven't done it yet and it's mostly intimidation. I've seen how people drive their cars on the highway, crazy. Too, I haven't gotten accustomed to the amount my Honda twin vibrates at speed.

do people who ride litre bikes have a lot of self control?

Whenever I see a Ferrari trolling along at traffic speeds it brakes my heart. Same thing with many sport bikes, you can hear the sadness in the engine, all tension and no release. I appreciate human engineering feats but I don't see the point of a fast vehicle that will never see more than a...

    1977 Honda CJ360T Cafe Racer.

I'm trying to upload more pics but it keeps tellin me I'm over quota. Even after I erased and resized them. Here is the ad: http://toronto.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-motorcycles-street-cruisers-choppers-1977-Honda-CJ360T-Cafe-Racer-W0QQAdIdZ299672478

    1977 Honda CJ360T Cafe Racer.

Unfortunately I'm short on my school fees and so must let go of my bike. It's a rare bike Honda came out with for only 2 years. It's a little sleeker than other Honda 360 models and has a factory 2 into 1 header. This bike I rebuilt with a mechanic in the Cafe Racer style as well as added...

Mechanic wont return my bike. Civil or Criminal process?

I got my bike back. Not satisfied how the whole thing turned out. Guess it's one of those life lessons you learn the hard way. Now I know better for future. Sad thing is the bike runs better than ever but with school coming up and the cost of insurance for 3 months of riding means I'm most...

Mechanic wont return my bike. Civil or Criminal process?

So here's the update. Apparently he's dropping off the bike today. So we'll see what happens, if it doesn't then I'm going to try and find out where it's located and then proceed from there. I had already in the past mentioned a few times that I wanted the bike back ASAP as is condition. To...

Mechanic wont return my bike. Civil or Criminal process?

Thanks for the advice. I'm going to arrange to get the location of the bike and have it transported. If that doesn't happen then I'm going to proceed with legal action.
