    Riding the Ontario Highlands

When I saw the thread, I was about to post how I'd had just seen an article on this topic the Sun. Turns out it this IS the article I read. I was particularly delighted to read how the owner of a b&b mentioned in the article drove the riders to town to get beers in the evening. Now THAT'S...

    Street bike on the track?

It can be done fairly simply. For open lapping trackdays at Cayuga TMP I believe it's just water in the rad, head and tail lights taped up, and kickstand secured. Am I missing something, all you more experienced guys? For drag, at least at Cayuga TMP, the tech gave my tire a light kick and...

Advice Needed. Sliders keep clipping the fan

Red loctite was used on mine for installation. Never had a problem with loosening. Didn't need to torch either to get out when I had to replace a ground slider. Just used a good bit and good bit driver and out they came. My experience. Ymmv.

Where to get my motorcycle safety certificate?

Haha I call him Rosey Toe as well sometimes. He's picked my bike up from a towing impound before. There's a rider on here somewhere that said Ted rode to his house to give him a safety IN THE WINTER/SNOW. Gotta love the guy.

Where to get my motorcycle safety certificate?

+1 for Ted Price will vary depending on his mood and whether you do indeed or do not bring him your sister. $40 if he likes you, I've heard of ppl paying as much as $80.

Haha I feared that if I said "that his mother got for his birthday" it would sound like I was talking about some gifted motorcycle gear

    Biker Pet Peeves

Nah, it was pretty funny and ironic actually. I just respect the fact that I AM indeed fairly new here. You should've gone a little farther with the VIN joke though, what a shame, I gave you such good ammo! Especially with the presence of Hard Gay and all...

    Biker Pet Peeves

ZX600, I fully knew & admit that was the riskiest of the jokes. I did capitalize the word "might" on that one. There is absolutely nothing Dbaggy about responsibilty, moderation, and obeying the law - quite the opposite actually! Inreb, yes my post count is pretty low, and five years isn't all...

CBC Article - Motorcycle deaths could hit 7-year high, OPP says

Thanks inreb. I also rode a '96 Virago with forward controls and ape hangers all last year in a full face, what felt like a 20lb Speedmaster jacket with metal shoulders, spine hump, huge forearm protectors, full gauntlet gloves over the jacket and race boots with sliders everywhere. Basically...

CBC Article - Motorcycle deaths could hit 7-year high, OPP says

+1 on gear. No way in hell that it offers a "false" sense of security. Will it prevent you from snapping your neck if you go flying through the air and land head first on your Shoei logo? No. Will it prevent and help with a SIGNIFICANT amount of injury? Yes! I was a tow truck operator for a few...

Anybody booked test ride of a Zero (electric) bike?

I love the smell of my gas toys as much as I love the smell of a great set of lady-parts. Performance is performance is performance though. I'm not a fan of priuses, volts, and the majority of hybrids/electric cars because I'm an avid supporter of machine athleticism and efficiency, specifically...

Anybody booked test ride of a Zero (electric) bike?

I just love how it's better in every imaginable way (pardon me Mission if I've missed something) and it's $20k cheaper! By no means am I anywhere near the stage of my life where I can buy a $40k toy, but still, it seems nowhere near as ridiculous as $60-$70k. I love riding like nothing...
