    Turn2: anyone hear anything new?

Uhmmm, Ya,, hope you're not holding your breath? That second idea would be a good option. Funny,,, the guy that was running that after he ousted George [ oh ya and myself] has not been seen at any tracks anywhere! ,,Hmmmmm,,wonder why?

    Finding sponsors

I'll tell you what I don"t like. Trying to make me feel I'm obligated. Telling me you won this and that and are going to win this years championship. Telling me what you will do for me "If" I sponsor you. Telling what I am going to do for you. Then forgeting I exist after you have what you...

Shopping list for 2013 track season

Just an FYI,, doesn"t matter who is doing the alterations but some suits just can"t be done with any level of cost affectiveness So talk to Drew and Sonny or who ever and make sure they know the suit you are looking at. Some stretch panels are really hard to work around and some suits do not...

    Canadian Motor Speedway

This track has many issues before we even get to the tunnel. depending on "who" designs the road course will dictate the safety. For example, if Nascar people design the track and the road course is laid inside. Looking at the banking it is unusable. The apron would have to be used instead of...

    Race Suit Modification/Repairs

Simple reason being we do so much trackside service we can"t do alterations properly in the trailer. Alterations are exactly that and need to be done right or the money is wasted. So rather then screw a suit up trying to do it right in the wrong place,,,makes no sense for me and or the customer...

knee down all day, do your legs get tired?

If you weight your knee hard you will eventually highside. By weighting the knee you unweight the rear tire,,or take the weight off the bike and unload the shock right at the worst time. Except for some extreme situations, uphill corners,Tremblant and Calabogie,if you are wearing out sliders at...

jacket elbow, shoulder and back armour/padding

The amount of broken elbows with hard armour can probably prove that. I think most are getting slightly confused on the word "soft" Soft armour which is engineered is not really that soft If we use Forcefield as an example. The outsde shell or surface is a hard rubber type texture with shapes...

jacket elbow, shoulder and back armour/padding

Are you sure that is plastic, looks like rubber, which would make it "Soft Armour" The outer shell will be a harder rubber and towards the inside a bit softer. OR the inside may soften with body heat, this will help it mould better, Correct me if I'm wrong but it sure looks like a rubber...

jacket elbow, shoulder and back armour/padding

Back armour is a big misleader. No back protector for one will prevent hyperextension of the back. Other then putting a 2x4 on your back and bindinging it every 3 inches if you back is bending a wasit strap will not prevent it. BUT, if your suit fits well and you have a good backprotector...

jacket elbow, shoulder and back armour/padding

I think the air bag stuff will only excel marketing when the repair process is in place. So can you repack the air bag and instal a new cartridge? Otherwise it's a bit exspensive for the mortal. But I do believe it is the future. Look at most crashs on the track. You take one big ht and then...

jacket elbow, shoulder and back armour/padding

Okay,,, take your best friend,,,give him enough beer to get him drunk. Hand him a 10 pound hammer. Put Forcefield,Knox or any company that solely makes armour,,over one hand. Put your choice over the other hand. Tell your friend to hit one. That little piece of plastic will transfer the impact...

jacket elbow, shoulder and back armour/padding

I have not seen much sas-tec,, just pictures. The last info I had was they were working on motorcycle stuff but the current product was for less violent sports. So I really can"t say much but what I saw in pictures was very interesting. What most don"t get is,,,I've seen a lot of...

jacket elbow, shoulder and back armour/padding

Trouble with the comparison of bullet proof vest is,,,, you're the bullet and the ground is the vest! If you crash you are the projectile! So being stationary and having a projectile come at you is easy to defend. If you are the projectile geez who knows what you will encounter. There is so much...

1 pc. or 2 pc. suit for tracking?

THere are several types of 2pc. Poser typers nothing joining the jacket and pants, good for Tim's,, cruising types with a one foot draft zipper on the back, comfy types with a 360 zipper sewn into spandex. and a track type with a good zipper full 360 sewn to leather.
