How do you win in racing exactly?

It is pretty simple. Moto GP, World Superbikes or whatever class you are racing in. There is a decending point scale for whatever position you come in in each race like you posted above. At the end of the season whoever has the most points wins. Example: Moto GP Points Riders and...

    M2 Zero Tolerance and a G License

All I know was when I was a senior instructor and examiner for the Gearing Up program we were told to instruct students that passed and were upgrading to their M2 that the alcohol restriction applied in all motor vehicles they operated until they obtained their full M.

New Rider - How do you get through the winter?

Roll up in a ball, cry myself to sleep and try to hibernate until spring. Then go to the bike show in January to make me feel even worse about not being able to ride.

    M2 Training Post-M2 License

Also if you did take the course even if you had an M2 you had to pass the final test in order to receive the certificate proving you took the course

    M2 Training Post-M2 License

When I was an instructor we would ask if the student had riding experience and try to put them into groups that had similar riding experience.

    Controls/New Rider

I have ridden everything over my 40 years riding. Did the cruisers and it killed my butt and back. Now I ride naked sports bikes and standards. The only reason I see for riding a cruiser is that is what you think looks cool. Otherwise a standard or sport standard in my opinion is the bike to...

    Buyer Beware - Bayside Performance

Well I can't complain about Fortnine. They sent me the wrong brake pads. Shipped back and was given a $25 off coupon to re-order the pads so they could send the correct ones. I also can't blame small companies for being wary of customer returns as many customers lie through their teeth to...

New Rider - shifting is confusing??

Make sure that when stopping you are in 1st gear when you come to a complete stop. You don't want to be fumbling at the stop trying to get into 1st or stalling trying to take off and you were not in 1st. Also the transmission on a motorcycle shifts between gears far easier when the bike is in...

    Heavy braking: locked rear tire

Just remember if you do lock up the rear just continue braking and ride it out, If you are fishtailing a bit and you suddenly let go of the rear brake your back tire will hook up and straighten and could cause you to have a nasty high side.

Brake fluid - all the same or should I be more selective?

Doubtful you will need any with a pad change. When you remove the old pads and push the caliper pistons back in the fluid level will go up. What you need to watch is as you push the pistons back in is that the fluid does not overflow. If you or someone previously added fluid as the pads wore...

Where to find engine stator cover beside dealer

Well that is the difference between 35 million people and over 300 million people. More people in U.S. means better selection. We have a 5 month riding season and far less bikes on the road so we will never have the stock and distribution advantage that south of the border has,

Where to find engine stator cover beside dealer

Dealers are already hurting for cash as most people don't buy from brick and mortar stores anymore. How is a dealer supposed to determine what parts a customer may need. Sure common things like oil and air filters and consumables sure. How can a dealer justify carrying multiple parts for...

Where to find engine stator cover beside dealer

Now if I had a 13 year old bike and was told the parts would take a couple of weeks I would also understand as I would not always expect an older bike to always have parts in my local warehouse. Sometimes the parts may have to come from Japan or England or Italy where my bike was manufactured...

Where to find engine stator cover beside dealer

Wow 4 to 5 days to get the part! Holy crap we are in a society that if we can;t get what we want immediately the world falls apart. It is not the dealers fault. No dealer stocks parts for every motorcycle just in case someone comes in for that particular part. Manufacturers have warehouses...

RTI M2X Course, Test without highway portion

RTI looking for any way they can to make a $. When I was a Senior instructor in the College system of the Gearing Up (Canada Safety Council) rider training we always heard many stories of questionable practices of RTI bending rules and this seems to be yet another one. The system exists to...
